Hey, animal lovers! On this page, we've put together a list of some really cool musicians who also happen to be vegetarians or vegans, and we've included links to their websites. These artists make great music AND care about animals -who could ask for anything more?

It's not too surprising that a group called The Mountain Goats would love animals.but these indie rockers prove it every day! Lead musician John Darnielle is known for distorting his musical sounds, but he refuses to distort his health or morals by eating animals. When asked whether he misses bacon, John responded that a pig is an "intelligent animal as friendly as a nice dog, being forced to endure living conditions you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.No, I don't miss bacon." John knows that just like dogs and cats, farm animals shouldn't have to suffer. John even donated his musical skills to the animals at Farm Sanctuary by being our special musical guest at the New York Shelter's Zoop! benefit. Isn't it great to hear musicians standing up for animals? We'd like to give The Mountain Goats a standing ovation!
