Rabbits on Factory Farms
Millions of rabbits are raised and killed for their meat in the
United States every year. Rabbits used for meat often live in terrible
places just like factory farms with hundreds of other rabbits.
Rabbits are often raised for their fur, which is made into clothing.
These rabbits often spend their entire lives inside cramped cages
and suffer terribly from boredom and loneliness.
Rabbits are also used for medical experiments and product testing.
Nearly 600,000 are used in laboratories each year.
Many people adopt rabbits without knowing how to care for them.
Pet rabbits are often left outside in tiny cages, are never let out
to play and are almost never given any attention.
